What is a Tarot Reading?

The Tarot is a deck of cards that originated over 500  years ago in northern Italy.  Although the Tarot was first used in a game called Triumphs, it was quickly adopted as a tool for divination, and popularized by occult societies such as the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn.

The early Tarot symbolism was deeply rooted in Medieval and renaissance Europe, but over the centuries it has grown to incorporate everything from Astrology and Kabbalah to Runes  (which pre-date the Tarot by 1000 years) and the I Ching (which pre-dates the Tarot 2500 years)  Today the Tarot is far and away the most popular tool for spiritual introspection in the West.

How do I use the Tarot?

I use the Tarot Cards as a tool to assist me when doing readings and channelling for people.  I have found the tarot to be very accurate and detailed when doing readings – I love working with the Tarot although I do rely on my own psychic abilities as well.  To do a reading I would need your date of birth and name at birth of you and your family, beforehand to connect with your energy.  I enjoy doing readings on a one on one basis in my studio, but have been very successful via Skype.  I work on an international level and have the PayPal option for international clients as well as those that would like to pay by credit card.

What to expect when you come for a Tarot reading

Although tarot card readings are becoming more popular these days, many people feel a little unsure or afraid of what to expect.

Here’s how I do my Tarot/Intuitive readings:

You may feel that I will know exactly what you are thinking, so let me put you at ease.

While I do tap into your emotions to understand how you are feeling, and what energetic patterns may have been created, my role is to help give you a deeper insight into your path and yourself.

I will ask for your date of birth when you make an appointment, and there are two reasons why: Firstly, I need your permission to work with your energy, and secondly I use numerology to gain a better understanding of your soul’s path.

I work on an energetic level, so it doesn’t matter if you phone, use Skype, or come in for a one-to-one session. Before I speak to you, I will already have aligned myself with your higher guidance, which will reveal what I need to speak to you about.

The session is interactive, and we will start with a relaxed conversation about who you are, where you have been and where you are now. A typical reading will cover relationships, careers, money and health, and I’ll ask questions throughout the reading to understand where I need to ‘slot’ in the information I receive, to make sure its relevant to you.

Past life experiences, and friends and family who have passed on, may come up in your reading if this is relevant to what you need to receive.

The aim of the session is to give you clarity and insight into your life, and we will then look at all the options available to you in the future. To work out the direction you’re heading, we’ll conclude by spending time discussing which choices may be better, why and the best time to make them.
